Crystal Ball’s MDVR (Mobile Digital Video Recorder) product offers a 360° vehicle CCTV solution specifically designed for large vehicles such as HGV's, coaches and tippers. The range includes both four and eight-channel options, this allows connection of up to 8 cameras to the MDVR, with hard drive storage up to 2 TB.
There are various options available to access the footage, these include either physically removing the hard drive and connecting it to a PC, or alternatively the more advanced method allows you to remotely access the data through a WIFI connection. Both options provide a simple and effective method for downloading and reviewing the footage.
Further equipment can be installed alongside the vehicle cameras to enhance health and safety such as proximity sensors and audible warnings. Crystal Ball’s truck camera system will help businesses become FORS and Direct Vision Standard compliant.
Equipping your commercial fleet with Crystal Ball’s vehicle CCTV systems will provide invaluable evidence in the event of a road traffic accident. It can be extremely difficult to determine which party is at-fault and liable for an incident, in which case many accidents result in the wrong party taking liability. Crystal Ball’s 360° vehicle CCTV system can safeguard your fleet by offering protection in the event of an incident to provide irrefutable evidence.
By providing recorded footage of an accident, conflicting reports can be quickly and easily settled ensuring the correct party is determined to be at fault. As a result companies can make huge cost savings and protect their drivers by equipping vehicles with Crystal Ball’s truck camera system.
Crystal Ball’s 360° truck camera system assists drivers with manoeuvres by displaying the various camera inputs on a monitor within the cab. This minimises the risk of accidents and fatalities caused by reversing vehicles, by eradicating blind spots.
Left and right hand side cameras also eliminate blind spots accountable for many collisions. Not only do vehicle cameras enhance the safety of the driver it provides protection to cyclists and pedestrians – mandatory for Direct Vision Standard as of October 2020.
This option requires physical removal of the hard drive from the vehicle and must be connected to a PC. The most
cost-effective option and ideal for fleets regularly returning back to site. 1 and 2 TB options available, recording times vary.
WiFi connectivity allows devices to communicate wirelessly, without the need to physically remove the hard drive. Footage can be downloaded within a small localised area (e.g. fleet yard or depot) once the device is connected to the WiFi network.
This system is specifically designed for vehicles that require 360° view around the vehicle at all times, predominantly HGV's, including buses, coaches and tippers. For LCV's we recommend SmartCam - Crystal Ball's multi award winning, fully integrated, fleet tracking and forward facing dash cam.
If your fleet is permanently located on site / close to site and you are looking for the most cost-effective option, Crystal Ball recommends the Hard Drive option. This allows you to retrieve data by physically removing the hard drive from the vehicle and connecting it to a PC. However, should your fleet be permanently located on site and you would prefer a less cumbersome process of retrieving data, WiFi is an ideal alternative. This will allow you to remotely access the data when the device is connected to the local WiFi network without the need to physically access the vehicle.
Crystal Ball offers the option to either purchase or lease the equipment providing customers with flexibility and the ability to choose which option works best for them. To find out more please call 0330 995 9950 to speak with a product specialist.
