New Business Telesales Executive 

The Role:

Employment Status: Permanent/Full-Time
Position: New Business Telesales Executive
Based: Manchester Head Office
Reporting To: Sales Manager
Department: Sales 

We are looking for an enthusiastic New Business Executive to contribute in generating sales for Crystal Ball. You will be responsible for closing sales deals over the phone, creating appointments for our BDM team and maintaining good customer relationships.

A New Business Executive must be an excellent communicator and have superior people skills. They must be comfortable presenting products or services over the phone as well as dealing with complaints.

The goal is to help Crystal Ball’s accelerated growth plans by bringing in customers and developing business.


  • Contact new customers to inform them about Crystal Ball’s products and services
  • Research and generate new business sales opportunities using social media and other internet platforms
  • Convert sales leads provided by the business
  • Use relevant questioning techniques to understand customer requirements and close new sales 
  • Direct new business prospects to the BDM sales team when needed
  • Enter and update customer information into CRM database
  • Liaise with internal support teams to ensure customer sales are processed in an accurate matter
  • Understand customer profiling on existing customer database
  • Go the "extra mile" to meet sales quota and facilitate future sales
  • Call pre-defined outbound sales campaigns 
  • Identify company decision makes and understand targeted industry trends


  • Proven experience as a New Business Executive or other sales/customer service roles
  • Proven track record of successfully meeting sales targets and quotas over the phone
  • Good knowledge of relevant computer programs (e.g. CRM software) and telephone systems
  • Ability to learn about products and services and describe/explain them to prospects 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Cool-tempered and able to handle rejection 
  • Outstanding negotiation skills with the ability to resolve issues and complaints
