what warranty is available on the merlin 700 tracking device?
When the 'system' is leased or rented (freedom), the merlin 700 tracking device is warranted throughout the contract term. When purchased, a 12 month warranty applies.

can I view my vehicles anywhere at any time?
Yes, through the internet as Crystal Ball is a true live web based tracking system. System speeds are therefore directly dependent upon the quality of the Internet connection you are using.
is Crystal Ball a GPS tracking system?
Yes. Crystal Ball uses GPS (Global Positioning Satellite) to locate the tracking device. GPS offers accuracy to within 5 metres, dependent on conditions. For further details click here.
is Crystal Ball affected by mobile network coverage?
No. In the event of loss of mobile data coverage the tracking devices store location data on board. Once coverage is resumed the data is uploaded, meaning that no information is lost.
are there any hidden charges with Crystal Ball?
No, there are no hidden charges. All Crystal Ball services include mapping, communication, and system charges.
is there a visible antenna on the vehicle?
No, the antenna is an integral part of the Merlin 700 which is installed covertly.
how long does a typical installation take?
On average a typical installation takes about 90 minutes and is vehicle and equipment dependent.
can Crystal Ball be moved from one vehicle to another?
Yes - this can be arranged and completed by one of our qualified engineers. Prices vary from vehicle to vehicle and equipment being transferred.
how long does Crystal Ball store my data?
All customers have immediate access to 90 days historical information which can be downloaded and saved at anytime. Data required outside this time period is held by Crystal Ball and can be requested. Admin charges will apply.
can Crystal Ball tell if the tracking device has been tampered with?
