Based in Leicestershire, PRO-Driver are the UK's leading prestige car delivery and transfer company specialising in moving vehicles quickly and safely throughout the UK. Their clients include Audi, Bentley, Ferrari, Porsche, BMW and Mercedes. Vehicles can either be moved on one of PRO-Driver's fleet of vehicle transporters or be driven directly by one of their 90-strong team of experienced drivers.

Being able to respond quickly and efficiently to the requests of their clients is key to the success of PRO-Driver. A traditional vehicle tracking solution would only be capable of tracking the fleet of transporter vehicles.

PRO-Driver needed to be able to monitor not just these vehicles but also the detailed movements of their drivers who are often responsible for driving valuable, high performance customer vehicles.

the solution

PRO-Driver found that the Crystal Ball Mobile Track and Mobile Monitor applications offered the perfect solution to their needs. By having their driver's company mobile phones provide real-time location and call data via the Crystal Ball web application the information required to co-ordinate the fleet is always immediately to hand. Simon Johnson, general manager of PRO-Driver said: "Our rapid response team looks after dealer transfers, new and used vehicle deliveries, corporate deliveries and handovers and service loan cars for prestige vehicles across the UK.

Therefore, a traditional form of vehicle tracking was not a viable solution because the requirement is to have visibilty of the drivers at all times whilst they are delivering customers' vehicles. The only alternative solution to this was mobile phone tracking.

In April 2011, we deployed Crystal Ball's Mobile Track and Mobile Monitor applications across our fleet of 99 mobile phones.
