About Crystal Ball
Crystal Ball was born from RS Cellular Ltd. The company was established during the recession of 1990, specialising in the telecoms industry. The company quickly won major direct accounts with networks, manufacturers such as Vodafone, O2, Orange, Panasonic, Sharp and Toshiba.
The business successfully operated in both consumer and B2B markets and was one of the first partners to be accredited by Vodafone within the 'Vodafone Centre programme' in 1994, with the launch of the flagship Manchester Arndale store. This pioneering concept brought mobile phones to the retail high street and into the hands of the general public for the first time and was the beginning of the consumer explosion that was experienced in the late nineties.
This established the business as a leading provider of services within the mobile industry despite the loss of the flagship store due to the Manchester Arndale bombing in 1996. The company continued to grow from strength to strength by keeping ahead of the competition, and by embracing emerging technologies at the outset such as mobile data, email on the move with Windows Mobile and BlackBerry, land line, VoIP, broadband and more recently by developing its own tracking solution, Crystal Ball.
After considerable research, development and investment, Crystal Ball was launched in 2005 and has since been established as a separate business, Crystal Ball Ltd, where the system has continued to evolve to offer the latest in live web based gps tracking systems. Based in the vibrant city of Manchester, Crystal Ball employs its own team of software system architects and developers and thereby operate a policy of continuous improvement utilising the latest technological advances as and when they become available.
Crystal Ball was the first to offer a live web based gps tracking system that does not require downloading of any proprietary software. And, Crystal Ball also enables users to view tracking information and current status and locations on their mobile phones using Crystal Ball's mobile solution called Visio.
